Sorting and Packing Station

Quality is our top priority at Almakúti. Our modern sorting and packing station complies with the strictest standards, including HACCP and GLOBALG.A.P. certifications. The climate-controlled areas (8–12°C) are designed to process apples with great care while maintaining premium quality. Thanks to a smart layout, with a clear division between clean and unclean zones, we ensure a hygienic and efficient working environment.

By combining advanced technology with attention to detail, we ensure that every apple is perfectly sorted and packaged, ready for delivery to clients at home and abroad. Want to learn more about our technology and approach? Discover how we blend quality with sustainability and innovation.

Greefa Sorting Machine

Our six-lane Greefa sorting machine is at the heart of our sorting and packaging operations. This advanced system uses a camera-based technology to sort apples by color and size with high precision. Water transportation ensures that fruit damage is minimized. With a capacity of up to 250 tons per week, the machine is perfectly aligned with our production and quality standards.

Certifications

Almakúti is fully certified to the highest international standards, including GLOBALG.A.P. and HACCP. Our certifications are regularly audited by authorized institutions, ensuring continuous compliance with strict requirements. Additionally, our QS certification – vital for the German and Austrian markets – has been renewed, and we comply with various client- and consumer-focused standards.

These certifications reflect our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, offering our clients the confidence that they can always rely on top-quality products.

Packaging

At Almakúti, we understand that packaging requirements vary. That’s why we offer flexible packaging solutions tailored to the needs of our clients, both domestically and internationally. For supermarkets, we carefully package apples in 6 to 7 kg boxes, ideal for streamlined presentation and easy distribution.

For wholesale, we supply larger quantities in wooden crates or telescopic boxes. These crates contain two layers of apples with a total weight of 13 to 18 kg. Thanks to our dedicated manual handling, we ensure that each package is assembled with the utmost care – guaranteeing quality and consistency every time.

Sustainable Construction

At Almakúti, we invest in sustainability through the use of environmentally friendly materials and energy-saving technologies. Our sorting and storage facilities are constructed with CFC-free insulation, energy-efficient cooling systems, and thoughtful water and waste management. All buildings are designed with respect for nature, including landscaping developed in collaboration with the national park. In this way, we contribute to a sustainable future, for our company and the environment alike.
