Assistant Manager

We are looking for a young, energetic, and driven assistant manager to help ensure our business processes run smoothly and successfully.

About the Role

• Responsible for cultivation.
• Perform various activities in the orchard throughout the year.
• Assist with pruning and spraying in the orchard.
• Manage frost protection.
• Maintain certification in a handbook.
• Skilled with tractor and forklift.
• Prepare the harvest and guide pickers.
• Work in a fun and professional team.
• Report to the owner.

Requirements:

• Flexible, reliable, and enjoy working outdoors.
• Young and energetic.
• MBO/HBO work and thinking level, education in MAS, Helicon, Yuverta, horticultural background.
• Preferably have work experience in fruit cultivation.
• Preferably have a cultivation background or grew up on a fruit farm.
• Tractor and forklift certificate or willingness to obtain these.
• Affinity with computers/automation.
• You have strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
• You possess (some) technical insight
• You hold a spraying license or are willing to obtain one
• You have a good command of Dutch and German, and preferably an affinity with the Hungarian language

What You Need

In addition to relevant work experience in a similar role, you are communicatively strong and have a good command of the Dutch language.

• You feel at home in a family business culture.
• Minimum completed MBO/HBO education.
• Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a comparable role.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of fruit cultivation and legislation.
• Proactive and solution-oriented, with attention to detail and quality.
